Katie McGoran
Katie McGoran is a multidisciplinary creative working across arts and culture as a photographer, writer and marketing freelancer. Based in London, Katie specialises in event photography, particularly within the queer nightlife, live music and techno scenes. They are a resident photographer for Ego Death and they have photographed artists such as Sega Bodega and Alice Glass for Pitchfork festival. Katie also holds an impressive corporate client list, having worked for Broadsword, %Arabica and charities including YCUK and Slow Ways. Katie also has experience photographing private parties and is currently taking bookings for all shoot types.

Having graduated from University of the West of England in 2022 with a first class BA degree in Photography, their personal practice is heavily research based and explores a wide range of themes including gender, queer identity, architecture and the built environment. Their photographic work has been exhibited in the Arnolfini, Truman Brewery, Dareshack Creative Studios, Mario’s Cafe in Camden and STAR’s (Student Action for Refugees) virtual exhibition. 

Katie also has experience in exhibition curation and events production, working for film festivals (Encounters, Norwich Film Fest and British Horror Film Fest), art fairs and organising their own visual arts and spoken word events as a cofounder of Umbra Creatives; a Bristol based arts collective focussed on supporting emerging creative talent. Katie is also part of the FLINTA* art rave Charje Worldwide's organiser team as well as their resident photographer and is the social media coordinator for drag venue The Hornecker Centre. Their written work on LGBTQ+ film, TV and music has been published in The Queer Review and Noctis Magazine.
